Lead Veterinarian - Dr. Brittany was born in St. Petersburg, Florida, but fell in love with the mountains at an early age. After an early career singing country music, she turned her focus toward veterinary medicine and natural horse training. She attended the University of Florida for her Bachelor’s in Animal Science and for Veterinary School, graduating in 2013. She and her sons own a farm in Burningtown in Franklin, with 8 horses, Okie the Veloci-chihuahua, and 3 kitties.
In Field Veterinary Assistant - Faith is a Franklin native and has been working around horses for most of her life. She competes on her weekends in local barrel racing with her mare, Baby! She loves swimming, hiking, and going on adventures with her Australian shepherd, Kyra. And of course, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Client Services Liaison - The wonderful world of animals has been a part of Amy’s life from an early age. She grew up on a large cattle farm in Maryland. This provided an opportunity to participate in 4-H, raise and show cattle, and own horses. In addition, Amy’s father held a career in animal health, which fostered a desire to own and care for animals, and provided many occasions to draw horse markings on Coggins papers. Fast forward to 2005, when Amy and her husband moved to Murphy and began adding animals to their family. Today, Amy, her husband, and two daughters, live on a small farm where they dabble in a variety of farming hobbies, raise and train ponies, focusing on the preservation of the Dartmoor breed, and daily marvel at the physical, emotional, and spiritual lessons learned on a farm!
Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist - Jeanne has been in the rescue world for most of her life. She started her own non-profit "Puppies Under Protection" in 1993 when living in Florida. She owns and runs an 11 acre Sanctuary for Senior Dogs and Special Needs Animals in Warne, NC with her husband Karl. They have 3 daughters and 5 grandchildren! Both are retired but stay busy caring for the Sanctuary and also running a pet crematory. Odd business choice, but their love for the animals makes them perfect for the job. Jeanne answers our phones and makes our appointments. She also rides with Dr. Beil when needed.
